Distributed custody
Bitcoin Well Infinite has always been in favor of clients taking control of their bitcoin.
Holding your own bitcoin removes counterparty risk and ensures it is always accessible. It also makes you responsible for every key, backup and recovery decision.
AnchorWatch is for those looking for a middle ground between self-custody and centralized custody. Distributed bitcoin custody spreads signing responsibility across multiple independent parties, reducing reliance on any single person, key or institution.
One lost key, unavailable person or failed institution does not determine the future of your bitcoin.
Leave your heirs a straightforward path to recover, transfer and inherit your bitcoin.
A serious custody plan that considers digital theft, operational failure and physical security.
Distributed custody options
No single third-party can move your bitcoin on its own.
Flagship
Hold your own signing key or keys while AnchorWatch provides an independent institutional keyset and recovery infrastructure. Designed for clients who want collaborative, distributed bitcoin custody without giving up their own signing role.
Multi-Institution Custody
AnchorWatch's Multi-Institution Custody model distributes signing responsibility across independent institutional providers. You authorize transactions, while multiple institutions must participate before bitcoin can move.
Signing and recovery steps differ by vault configuration and are set out in AnchorWatch's customer documentation. Both models are designed to reduce single-party risk.
For eligible U.S. clients
Eligible clients can apply for optional Lloyd's of London-backed custody insurance. Custody coverage is issued under a dedicated policy in the customer's name, with actual protection determined by underwriting and the applicable policy terms.

Bitcoin inheritance
Naming a beneficiary is only part of bitcoin succession. Your family, executor or trustee also needs a workable way to recover and transfer the bitcoin.
AnchorWatch integrates recovery and inheritance into its custody architecture, giving clients a documented process that can work alongside their legal and estate planning.
Suitability
One of our Executive Bitcoin Advisors can help you decide if a distributed custody setup makes sense for your situation.
AnchorWatch handles its own onboarding, vault setup, custody relationship and ongoing service. Bitcoin Well Infinite does not hold or manage your bitcoin or private keys as part of the AnchorWatch service.
